The avariel are winged elves: tall, pale, feathered, and born to the air. They have the elves' grace and a better constitution than their cousins, and fly from the start.
The avariel are among the oldest and rarest of the elves, with white-feathered wings. Their ancient wars against dragons left them nearly extinct, and most other elves now think of them as a legend. |
