| Duergar |
Duergar are grey dwarves of the deep dark: dour miners who can turn invisible and swell to twice their size at will. They resist fire, but cold and water weaken them, and they earn experience more slowly than most.
The duergar were once a clan of dwarves enslaved by mind flayers. They won their freedom but came back changed: grey, joyless, and able to make themselves huge or invisible. They serve Laduguer, a grim god of toil, and despise their surface kin. |
